This beautiful set of Hopi Earrings are made by Veryl Pooyouma of Hotevilla, Arizona and are signed with his hallmark. They are made of solid sterling silver by using the overlay method that incorporates two peaces of silver. They measure 5/8" x 1/2" and are designed with the Hopi Lizards.
Each of Pooyouma’s custom-made pieces symbolizes the Hopi spirit and way of life.
Originally from the village of Hotevilla, Veryl Pooyouma is a full Hopi Indian of the Sun and Corn Clan. A self-taught artist, Pooyouma first learned the art of silversmith by watching well-known Hopi artists Charles Loloma and Lawrence Saufkie. At 17, he began creating pieces of his own.Pooyouma now works with both traditional and contemporary Hopi designs, incorporating sterling silver and 14K gold into his one-of-a-kind jewelry. Each of Pooyouma’s custom-made pieces symbolizes the Hopi spirits and ways of life.
